DESIGN - DEPARTMENT OF WRITING AND RHETORIC STUDIES

DEPARTMENT OF WRITING AND RHETORIC STUDIES

  • Writing Waivers: There is no longer a waiver for Writing 2010. All students should complete the WR2 requirement in their first year.
  • Double Majoring: The 36 credit hour Writing and Rhetoric Studies major is ideal for a double major and pairs well with any field. Not only a major for “good writers” but also for those who want to improve writing in their field.
  • Placement Score: You can find the student’s placement score in PeopleSoft. The pathway is: Student Admissions-> test results-> UWPThe line that starts with SCORE will be followed by a 1 (1010) or a 2 (2010), ORIf they have taken a placement test or have transfer credit, they will have a line that starts with ESSAY followed by a 2 (1010) or a 3 (2010).
*Students can only change their placement by taking a placement test in the Testing Center.
