"Jennifer Wozab has embraced her role as a new advisor in
University College with enthusiasm and energy. She is described as having
a 'clear and patient approach' with which she 'really tries to teach students
so that they are able to understand how to be successful on our campus'.
Jen has created Mandatory Advising Program materials to assist students
and advisors. She seeks out professional development and presents at
various conferences. There is much more that can be said, but it is most
complementary when seasoned co-workers describe working with her as 'invigorating' or that 'she is viewed as a leader, innovator, and trusted
colleague'. Jennifer Wozab is most deserving of the 2013 UAAC Outstanding 'New' Advisor Award."

Bobbi Davis is a caring, responsible, knowledgeable,
personable and proactive advisor in the Department of Family and Consumer
Studies. She is well respected by students and faculty, so much so that
when her department was undergoing curriculum revisions, “faculty would not
meet unless Bobbi could be in attendance”. Her faculty view her
“understanding of students’ needs, departmental programs and university
requirements as essential and invaluable to the work of the department.”
One of her faculty describes her “grace and caring” when dealing with difficult
students as “a model of professionalism and integrity for all of us.”
Students describe her warmth and caring as “a gift” that they “get to enjoy”.
It is best stated by her department chair that “Bobbi’s passion, initiative and
commitment to her work, all in the name of assuring the well-being of our
students, that truly sets her apart from her peers.” Bobbi Davis is most
deserving of the 2013 UAAC Outstanding “Wise” Advisor
Award.
